Need to adjust M-codes for coolant

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just downloaded the GENERIC HEIDENHAIN_TNC530 3X MILL MM post and need to make some small adjustments for coolant ect.

Now I'm no expert but I figured this would be within my scope. Unfortunatly when i open the file in Code Expert i get mostly "ð?ëâ6?ü©ñÒMbP?ü©ñÒM"

Apparently im even less of an expert than i thought..

Anyway, could someone tell me how to open the files in a way that i can read an make adjusments?

Well yes that was my first thought but the only thing that it changes is the text in the box at the cooland tab in the operation.

When i post it doesnt change anything.

Besides that, i dont want it to write the "tool call 0" at the end or the / in front of the tool def.

also, i just want to look into the post and get a bit wiser

Thnx for the reply but in the end I managed to figure it out.

Except why the changes in machine definition didn't had any effect. I downloaded the post and dragged the file into mastercam to let it install. Don't know what I could have done differently.

Now the next questions.

Is it possible to change the v style coolant to X style?

And the advanced drilling cycle doesn't work properly. It doesn't write out M4 for CCW and dwell time is being put out as just DWELL.. that doesn't really give good results on the machine.

Is this something that can be adjusted?
