I am hoping that you could help me understand why I am having an issue on our mazak400vc mill. I go into MDI mode and select tool auto measure. I hit input and cycle start. The tool positions itself in line with the RTS (tool post). When it cycles down in the Z coordinate it  moves a hair down and then it goes up +Z and hits its soft limit every time, Almost like the coordinates got flipped.

I would suggest calling Renishaw, they can help you make sure the correct macros are installed & are being called correctly. I've found their customer service to be exemplary.
