Mikron 5 axis with heidenhain 530 control question

Recommended Posts

I'm running Cycle 451 for kinematics and it says the b error is 141.2 and c is .07( I believe these are metric values).

So it warns of a large value change so I exited before writing the parameters.

The test block I ran with our postability post looks good for concentricity of bores 180 apart. But the thickness and z dimension is short by about .004 inch. The Lazer calibration standard and tool are good, I checked with a height gauge.

If I go to restore a kinematics backup it warns of a value change similar to cycle 451.

We have a call into GF but I know a couple people her have experience.

It seems like someone was messing with it and loaded bad values at some point.  I would think the machine wouldn't run close that far off.

Thanks

Not sure about the settings, but just had a machine's lasers bit me on a project. We had to manually go touch off every tool to make a good part. Granted it was a used machine and the person I was working with was not familiar with the machine. The tools were .022" off and I was told when we did the test block to check the post he felt like he made a mistake and we should be okay running our first part. I should have stopped everything pissed everyone off and doubled checked him, but such is life.

I will check the tool manually tomorrow, thanks
