Positional error comp for G68.2

Recommended Posts

Hey yall,

I'm planning on adding a 4th (or 5th) axis to my VMC and will use G68.2 with it. Don't want to program from center. I have a question about possible positional error after rotating.

From what I understand you could just add a bit of comp to the X, Y, Z values in the G68.2 line right?

Say you do this: G68.2 X0. Y0. Z0. I-90. J0. K0. --> Part features on this face measure +.001 out.

Then could you just comp the program like this: G68.2 X-0.001 Y0. Z0. I-90. J0. K0.

(Compound angles would have to be trigged out of course)
