fanuc 16imb rs232 tnot getting alarm 86 with the cable unplugged can someone try to punch out a program with the cable unplugged

Im going through the trouble shooting section of this machine manual that came with this Roku HC 658. (Generic Fanuc manual) I feel like Im getting no where with this other than learning how to navigate them machine parameters like a run code wizard. One I'm in the trouble shooting side of this manual and the flow chart says I should be getting an 86 Alarm with the RS232 cable unplugged from the machine when I try to Punch out the O-9999 exec. it flashes LSK LSK LSK ... and finishes without alarm with or without the cable plugged in . Also the laptop hasn't thrown a single alarm in 2 days.

Dump the RS-232 Connection and use your DATASERVER or the CF Card. You're going to need a sub 1GB CF Card. I'd recommend 256MB for maximum compatibility.
