"GUI post development tool that enables us to customize our post do do exactly what we want witin reason of course."

1.Start with wizard driven application for some common things and than add more advanced futures as we go along.

collect users input and than update post, that would be relatively easy to do. (simple search and replace application.)

Separate wizard in three stricture and than define areas you would like changes to occur.

Pheader

Lthchg

Etc.

Than ask questions

Do you want to unable sequence numbers - yes/no

Do you want sequence numbers only at tool change – yes/no

Tool coments – yes/no

Than let as have source code. So we can do this in our own time and not add to development cost.

2.More control over rapid moves, it make sense to have G00 for moves larger than 1 inch but any smaller moves makes some of machines jump of the floor trying to move 700ipm distance of .200 inch. G98 would be much better with user defined feeds.

Use the tool table output from MPMaster, but add the Min/Max values to the tooltable, and not have them at the start of the actual tool sequence. (Its a pain in the a** to scroll or search through the programme to see the min/max z values)

The MPMaster posts work great for me smile.gif

And provide the same features in the lathe posts. I'm also all for the MPLOkuma to have Mill/Turn functionality.
