Are there any teachers using Solids? My students are developing solids in grade 11,12 tech design and manufacturing tech. Just wondering if you would know when it is wise to use add a boss, or create a body? Not sure benefits of one over the other when producing parts. Thanks. The doctor.

To make things easy, if you are building a single object, it should be a single solid. If you have two objects, they should be two solids. You may want to chamfer or fillet an edge of an actual object, but you don't fillet the intersection edge of two objects.

The only acception is found when you are creating intermediate solids to use in Boolean operations.
