Solidworks mold design

I am new to Solidworks and I am trying to do some splitting of core and cavities for mold design. I followed the tutorial without much luck. (I use to work with the guy who wrote that tutorial and well...I'll leave it at that for now.)

Maybe my problem is that I am trying to get SW to do what Pro-E does. In any event, does someone know where I can find a better tutorial for mold design? Maybe something that's published online? Or a good SW book with some emphasis on mold design?

Thanks in advance.

My Process:

Open new Size block save as size block

Open new Split mold Assembly Save as Split mold Asmprt

Drag and drop Size block onto origin of Split mold Asmprt

Open Part Drop part into Split mold asmprt (Not unto Orgin)

Mate part to planes of the assembly.

Edit / Size block part, Cavity out part on Moldbase origin (Always every cavity process)SAVE

Open new split block save as split block

Select Insert part then select Size block part (must save as split block)

(Drop into Split mold Assembely on Origin)

Open split block part from split mold Assembely

Save As Copy as Insert 1,Pin 1,Slide 1,Cav,Core etc.

Drag into Assm and edit Split block / Cavity out with it

Save and close Split block part
