Warning Appmch8.dll ???

When I try to apply toolpath operations to surfaces the following warning pops up.

Warning - Appmch8.dll is not compatible with this release, please remove from the apps directory.

 

What does this mean? I can't apply toolpath at this time and it a little frustrating.

The current Appmch patch only works with V8.1.1 (you can get there using patches as long as you have V8.1).

Two options, delete the appmch8.* files from your Apps dir, or update to V8.1.1

I was updated to v 8.1.1 . I went to the mcam patches site to double check that I had all the latest updates. I did find out that I didn't have the appcfg-1016.exe update.....so intstalled it.

igesin.exe

readps13inv8.exe

v8addons_full.exe

I still get the same error even though I applied the above patches and am running v8.1.1 .

Any thoughts?

If those are the only patches you have downloaded and installed you do not have V8.1.1. You can check this by opening Mastercam and pressing Alt+v. In the bottom left hand corner you should have this Mastercam version 8 (5.1.2001). If yours does not say this go to the the patches page and click on the link V8.1 to V8.1.1 Update Patches.

Willy, you are correct. When mcam boots up it displays ver 8.1.1 , when I checked with "alt V"

the ver was only 8(1.26.2001).

I'll update and let you know how things turned out.

That seemed to do the trick. I'm at ver 8.1.1 and can apply toolpath to my surfaces again

Downloading our 'Add-ons' most likely includes a modified Mill8.txt file for V8.1.1 which could falsely display 'V8.1.1' along the program bar at the top of your screen. The 'Add-ons' are however intended to be applied to the latest release.

i too get the same error message when i add latest patch.i checked the version(5-1-2001)correct but it doesn't work,what is wrong here?thanks for any answers

People seem to think the individual patches listed under the V8.1.1 header on our Patches pages will take them to V8.1.1. They will not. These are patches to be installed ON TOP of V8.1.1!

I've modified the link to the actual version patches to say 'Click here first for 8.1 to V8.1.1 Update Patches'.

but Mr. Dave Thomson i was instaling on ver 8.11!it still didn't work.i guess there is something wrong with the patch?
