Does anyone have A Dell M90 laptop, or equivelant, with the core 2 duo processor they can test? Were looking at getting one and I would like to know how it stacks up.

thank you,

Keith, I just re-read your post (you said you'd test your M90). My reading comprehension must not be to good today.

Thanks!

It looks like the new dual core Xeon's rule the

pack.

A couple of years ago my P4 3.2EE smoked

the 2.4 Xeon I had at work. Its looks like

a new dual core Xeon 2.66 beats my time by half

and

the dual core Pentiums beat the older sigle core

P4's even though they have a slower clock speed.

Just for grins, those with INTEL and HT turned on, try turning Hyperthreading OFF and re-run the test.

The fact that your 3.2 / 3.4ghz machines are the same speed as a 2.2ghz AMD may be due to having divided your Level 1 cache up to support HT.

IF it is better, let us know. It looks like a LOT of INTEL based systems could benefit if it helps.
