Hi Ken,

 

1. Restore power

 

2. Set mode switch to MDI and turn on parameter write to turn on parameter write, press OFFSETT-SETTING-enter 1 in parameter write.

 

3.Change Keep relay K1.6 to 1 (only if powered off)

(to display keep relays, press SYSTEM-PMC-PMCPRM-KEEPPRL cursor down to K1 and change bit 6 to 1 (bit 6 is 2nd from left) Cursor down to K7 and change bit 6 to ).

 

4. Turn parameter write off.

 

5. On the automatic tool changer (atc) box at the back of the machine set switch to manual. (Do this first)

 

6. In MDI key in M#(; Press the start button. ( This starts maintenance mode and allows you to use the 2 keys for rotating the tool magazine as jog keys for the tool changing arm)

 

7. Turn parameter write back on

 

8. Change keep relay K7 bit 6 back to 1.

 

9. Turn parameter write off.

 

10.Turn mode switch to jog.

 

(make sure you tool is clamped in the spindle or remove it manually)

 

11. Using the magazine CCW (use CCW only) button move the tool changer arm to home position (you have to press the button several times). Carefully watch the tool that is being placed in the spindle. Once it is in the postion in the spindle manually press the tool clamp before proceeding otherwise the tool will drop. Finish pressing the magazine CCW button until the arm is at home position.

 

12. Turn mode switch to MDI.

 

13. In MDI key in M19; and press the start button.

14. Key in M41(will complete 1 commplete tool change)

 

15. Ste ATC box switch to AUTO.

 

16. Turn parameter write on.

 

17. Change keep relay K1 bit 6 back to 0.

 

18. Turn parmeter write off.

 

19. Check to see if the correct tool is in the spindle.
