Can't rename toolpath file

We have several seats of Mastercam. X3 on all of them, but one computer will not allow the toolpath to be renamed, (Edit selected operations, Change nc file name). Clicking this does nothing on this one computer. Have tried re-installing, repairing and everything else I can think of. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Patrik

Patrick,

Does this machine have Mill level 2 on it. If so its a known issue.

Here is a work around:

Here is how to get it to work if you have Wire. If you dont have Wire you might try it with Lathe and see it it works. This work around will not work if you only have MILL.

If you only have a MILL GROUP and need to change the NC NAME, you could insert a WIRE GROUP with no operations and put the red arrow in the WIRE GROUP, select the toolpath group in MILL with all the operations, right click in the op manager, EDIT SELECTED OPERATIONS, click on CHANGE NC FILE NAME and you will get the pop up dialog box to change the NC FILE NAME.

Hi guys,

This has been logged as bug number cnc00038890. Mill and Router Level 2 have a different resource file in the Operations Manager / right click menu than Mill (and Router) E, 1 or 2 because of the different toolpaths available (one surface rough and finish). This is why only Level 2 users are seeing this bug. It will be fixed in an update that should be released very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
