Misc values

In the Misc values page, when accessed via the operation parameters page, there's a check box at the bottom that says "Automatically set to post values when posting." Where would I find these post values in the post?

I just blew up an expensive part of the boring head because an operation didn't have this box checked and there were values that told MC to output incremental, instead of absolute. If I can check this box in every op in my library, I'll be all set. I also want to make sure the post values are correct.

Is there any other place (in the control def maybe?) that could possibly override this? I want to make sure all bases are covered.

It figures I'm up to my xxxx in work right now and I've got to track this thing down. Meanwhile, I hope nothing else I've programmed in the past 3 weeks has this same issue, just waiting to show up. curse.gif

Misc 2 as a default in MC is set to control this

(0= absolute, 1= increment)

In the MPMaster post if you search for "absinc" you will find the logic for this setting.

If you check this box, then right click (in version X2) and "save parameters to dafaults file" it should stay checked...of course you will have to do this for every type of operation (i.e. Contour, pocket etc.)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, CNC PRO.

I'm using a modified MPFAN. I figured I'd find an area in the post that said something like...

misc1: 2 * (1= G28, 2= G54, 3= G92)

misc2: 0 * (0= absolute, 1= increment)

I didn't see anything. Anyway, I went through ~200 ops in my library and changed them all to what I need, along with the Mill Inch Defaults.

I recently switched to my updated MPFAN posts and matching Machine def/Control def. I'm still not exactly sure why this library does this now when it didn't before. That's why I was wondering if there was something in the control def that overrides the machining parameters misc values page. Anyway, it's a $400+ lesson. frown.gif
