tool selection question(ver 9.1)

lots of times i will rough pockets with one tool and then come back and finish(contour)the walls with the same tool.i like to creep up on the size by increasing cutter comp.the way ive been doing this is to program the contour with a different tool and then editing the code after it posts.this way i dont have to run the whole roughing operation before the finish contour.

i thought at one time i saw a switch for forcing a toolchange with the same tool but maybe im wrong.is there another way to force a toolchange using the same tool so i dont have to edit the code?

I can't remember V9 but in X4 its on the same page as where you set your tool number, offset number, feed, speed, etc... a check box in the bottom right area of the page.

If this is a mpmaster based post, you have a misc value to force the tool change.

In the operation, tool parmeter tab, Change NCI, check force tool change
