What kind of machines??

Recommended Posts

Just thought it would be cool to see what everyone is running.

What kind of CNC machines are you guys running and what size are they?

We are running a 2008 DMS 5 axis router. 8'x12' table with 48" of brdige. It's a medium duty machine with an 11hp HSD spindle and HSK 63F toolholders. We recently made the switch to shrink fit toolholders and they are great thus far.

We opted for a continuous C axis when we bought the machine and it is a dream to program and run.

Those are the machines that are in the building that I spend most of my time. There are times when I have to program machines in our other facilities. Some of those include more Mazaks, Okumas, Daewoo, Mikron, Mitsubishi, and a few Parpas, and a few more I can't think of right now.

Leb makino 60x25?x25? vmc

16x80 wmw lathe

30x60 retrofit leblond lathe (tape at onetime)

Haas tl3w

A bunch of larger manual lathes, mills, vert lathes.

That was for the last 12 years.

Start a new job in two weeks. Was time for a change. It's gonna be a big change for me. Smaller parts/ tolerances. Moving two hours away from where I live now. Mostly mori's there. Maybe John will chime in on what the machine specifics are there.

We've got a Hurco VM1...that's it for now. At least until we get our robotic paint booth up and running, but that probably won't be until after the holidays.

We've got an AXYZ router coming in the next month or two, probably another mill, maybe a lathe, possibly an injection molding machine.
