shut down Mastercam.

The icon you use to Launch Mastercam, right click on it, choose properties, click the compatibility tab, choose the "Disable Desktop composition" so that it IS checked.

Click apply, close and restart Mcam

What video card are you running?

Tom,

I have found this doesn't matter

I have people all over the place with quadro, FX580's, 600's 1800's 2000's

and ONLY some of them need to do this, but not all

We've set drivers, checked settings, can't find why some do and some don't

I tried that and then started having MCX issues. MCX would not run right. screen kept going white

I'd guess it's a graphics driver issue.

Running Quadro FX3800 ( mentioned that in my first post )

Tried all the suggestions and the mouse still disappears in X5 MU1 - this is when hovering over the bottom status bar, specifically over the color, level, attributes, point style, line style and line width. However when hovering over 2D\3D, Gview, Planes, Z depth, WCS, Groups and "!?" the mouse is visible. A Mastercam restart seems to be the only fix for now.

I have a new Dell Precision M6500 laptop with a Quadro FX 2800M video card & running MCX5 MU1 on Win7 x64 that has been doing this as well. I have always had it set to not go to sleep and not turn of display when plugged in which it usually is.

When I saw this thread I started to play with some settings to see if anything helped. When I clicked the ! button to customize the status bar the window I got had the txt half covered by the slider. I tried it on my PC and the txt was totally there and readable. I removed buttons I don't use being the attributes and groups by right clicking on the colum and choseing remove. Today I have not yet had my pointer disappear when using the status bar. :p
