equaly spaced holes

I cant get this, I need 26 equaly spaced holes along the dashed line. The first hole is on C/L, how do I get the other 25 holes to follow the dashed line and keed an equal distance Thanks in advance.....

Jeff thanks for the reply. But it's only placeing them on the line, it wont follow the arc?

Break the arc, use "break arc many pieces".

Solidworks has a feature to do this, I think you'll have to change it to a spline, break the spline in the number of pieces, then create the arcs at the endpoints

 

Unless there is a feature I am unaware of?

John, I was hopeing you would chime in on this. Even when I break it into a spline it still only does 1 line or 1 arc. Does any body have a valume or a zanex

i used break many pcs and used 26 for the number with rounded off distance checked

then created points at the endpoints

Get the "chain" into a single entity using Create Spline - Curves Spline.

Use 'Create Point - Segment' to define the points.

Use the 'Pt2Arcs' CHook to create the Circles around all of the points in one shot.

you need to make a shortcut to use it.

im still havin my issues, i get equally spaced endpoints but it doesnt start from the center line, it starts just right of the C/L

Can you draw the 2 arcs and 2 lines and then break the 2 lines on C/L in X and use that ?

break your geo at your centerpoint. create a spline from that break. from points select create point segment. select the spline and make the number of point 27. you'll get 2 points at the start /endpoint so delete multiples!

I have tried this and I get way too many endpoints to count.

can you be more spacific on the directions please? Im sure your method works, I just dont thing I'm following you too well. Thanks fot the help John.
