Define Tools

Maybe I am missing something here. But when creating Flat end mills or even a Ball end mills, Why cant we have an option in there to create a draft angle? Almost every smaller end mill under .125” has some type of draft after the neck diameter. Would this not save a lot of time with this option instead of creating custom tools all the time?

Why not use taper mill? just curious.

Well if I want my part to verify correctly I believe I would have to use a straight wall cutter. I don’t see the option I am looking for under the taper cutters. Can you make the taper cutter straight then taper them back?

Because a taper mill does not describe the shape accurately. I believe the end mill in question has a taper leading from the cutter dia to the shank dia. It's this taper that is trying to be modeled.

To the OP, I just make the shoulder dia such that it extends into the actual flute area. Doesn't work when you need every last little bit out of the cutter though.
