hey friends,,,,

 

Please post how you calculate your feed rate for say a 5mm x .8 thread.

 

 

Recommended CS for material is equal to SFPM correct?????

 

CS x number flutes divided by cutter diameter equal rpm

 

rpm x .002 chip load x 4 flutes to get feed rate ..

 

If you have a chart/link to share that woukld be cool

CS could mean cutter speed and that would be the forumal for the diameter of the cutter at the rpm to get the saurface speed. Okay now with need feedrate in Mastercam you put the feed per tooth and it wil give you the feed in inches per minute. There are tons of links just do a google search it will give you more than I can post up.
