X6 on multiple computers

I'm going to be using X6 on multiple computers and have all my stuff set up the way I like it. What are all the files and locations of these files do I need to pull off the set computer to dump on the secondary computer? I'm not using a nethasp setup just 2 hard keys.

I put all the posts, machine def's and tool libraries on the network.

That way all programmers are using the same ones

I used to do that. I ended up getting f'ed over so many times I said to hell with it. I leave all the files in the original location and let ViceVersa monitor and synchronize the "Shared" folder across all my machines (8 total).

 

No more issues.....

 

I think if you only keep the machine/control/post on the server you'd be fine. Start moving libraries and defaults and your hosed (in my experience)

Woah, watch out here...

 

The mcamx6.config file contains a few hard coded paths (for example, User Data Folder points to C:\Users\XXX\Documents\my mcamx6\), which are written the first time you start mastercam when logged into that computer.

 

Just be aware that you may need to edit it for each user after they log in and change that path (XXX in my example above).
