Crop Circles?

I've got these crop circles going on with a surface rough pocket tool path. arc setting?

on your print, it looks like your inside and outside corner radii do not match up from top to bottom, is that correct? like some sort of draft angle.

Looks like it's a mold of some type. So it would need a draft angle to release.

Double check your pocket toolpath stepover settings. Sometimes if you see this in verify you can adjust your stepover to remove these. I've seen it quite a bit in pocket toolpaths.

Not sure what your issue is, but at a quick glance I would not be using a surface toolpath for that. Contour ramp the thing right out....

The thing has a 5 degree draft angle. I did a work around, offset the part geometry and a pocket toolpath, then a surface finish contour with .13 stock on drive and a second on the surface. The controller is Osai and the thing says I can't upload that kind of file?? whats up with that?

Change the arc output to IJ rather than R.

 

OR, you could break at quadrants, but I believe the issue is that your control is not finding the endpoint, and just keeps going on the radius until it is satisfied - hence the crop circles.

 

Using IJ for arc moves should eliminate the problem.

I agree Craig. In fact, unless there is a reason not to, such a limited program space, I'd recommend implementing both of your suggestions because this is a difficult circumstance to re-create.

Doing both things has the greatest potential to eliminate the problem forever.
