Anyone seen this?

I am always drilling and tapping holes in the end of long parts and I have a plate I stand up in a vise to do this on some things. But I'm usually fumbling with the part and a Kant Twist which can be a pain. This would be ideal for some of these jobs I do.

What kind of vises do you use for setups like this? I know there are a lot of work holding solutions out there. Show me what you use.

I think this is a great idea. It ridged enough as these kind of ops usually don't require heavy milling. On one of my mills I keep a 6" vise elevated on 3" blocks. I leave it there all the time at the expense of table space. I will consider buying one of these and freeing up that space for 2 additional vises on that mill.

When I was a job shopper, I didn't have enough table space to leave something

set up all the time.

I kept a 4" vice mounted on a small knee.

The vise was pinned to the knee and the knees had keys to fit the table T-slots

so it was a quick setup when I needed it.

That would be ideal for me as well, but to keep a vise and a right angle plate dedicated to a setup like this wouldn't last long where I work ;)
