Programming Mastercam in Solidworks

OK. So not knowing SolidWorks will get you about 45% there. If all you've ever used for geometry and model creation is MC, SW is going to seem like greek at first. After a few weeks, you'll have the basics down. Quite a few web sites have excellent free tutorials for SW. The hard part is going to be letting go of the way you draw in mastercam. The tool paths all perform the same way, and for the most part look the same in the menu's. This truly is an excellent alternative if your not machining in a 5 axis realm. No doubt thats probably in the pipline.
