x6 to x5 student version to schools version

I bought the student version of x6 for school. The student version does not allow you to post the file and generate code. Was told to use the version the school was using to do this. They have x5. Their version is not allowing me to post from x6 and my version is not allowing me to change the file to do so either. Any ideas?

Also heard that there is a chance that I may loose my toolpaths by posting from 6 to 5. Is this true?

yes.. you can save geometry back to past versions, but not toolpaths

you can not save a Mastercam file back to a earlier version with paths. so if you program the file and try and save back there will be no paths. So you need the X5 HLE to have this option.

If I remember correctly, HLE 5 is dead and won't install anymore.
