Try this..

close X7

go to your my mcamx7 folder and delete the *.ini files

mwMachSim.ini

mwMachSim_UBVS.ini

mwVerifierGUI.ini

mwVerifierGUI_UBVS.ini

 

when you restart X7, it will generate new default files

Can you send the part to [email protected] please. Also was this a X6 part or something new? If it's an existing part from a previous version, have tried editing the tool or re-selecting a new tool? Not sure exactly what is going on but I'll ask around.

it is x6, and I did try to edit the tool, but that's also didn't work, but what I can do is make a new one in x7 quickly and I will let you know

Intel core2 duo win7 pro.

graphic card ati radeon 3400 series

not much of a pc,

getting a new one a lot more power by the 28th.

but I don't think the hardware is the problem thou,

ATI Graphics are a real problem most of the time unless it's a Fire GL Pro $$$

My Box has Intel I7 (8 core), 4 Gigs ram, NVidia Quadro card, and I have yet to run verify on it without a crash.

 

For the heck of it, I installed it on an old EMachines box (haa haa) and it runs sloooooow, but no crashes. :/

New file. Crashes every time.. I have deleted all the *.ini files too...

I have had 2 crashes in X6 today, one of them were the verify lock up thing.

the other I hit undo, and MC stopped working crash.

 

on an 11meg 3 axis file.

 

Its frustrating in any version, keep your chins up and drink more beer at night,

works for me.

Ok, It didn't crash during the verify But It will Not lest me close the verify window.... It's just a black screen Happens almost always since SP2. Open task manager to end simulator but it also kills mastercam.

Strange. I thought for sure I would have problems because I installed X7 and ran the migration utility despite all the warnings. So far, verify has been working great. I have a couple of weird things now and then, but no show stoppers. I am running Intel Xeon dual quad core, 12 gigs ram, and dual Quadro 4000's.

I was at a place a few weeks ago where X7 was crashing on verify constantly. I noticed he was running an ATI Fire Pro V5900, a decent card. We copied the mcx over to another computer with an nvidia quadro 600 and it verified fine. It also verified just fine on my dell m4400 laptop with an nvidia quadro fx1700m video card.

Good call HARDMILL I went into my configuration and under the screen tab I changed it to GDI instead of OpenGL and it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
