Creating Legend for Drawings in Mastercam? Is it possible?

I hope i'm in the right forum forum for this. I work for an aerospace company which is currently going for it's AS cert and need to figure out an easy way to insert a legend into the operational drawings i'm making with MasterCam X7. And no I'm not talking about Babe Ruth. LOL

 

It simply consists of a form number on the lower left and on the lower right a part number, op number, date, etc.

Like a footer but it is set by default and is changeable each time.

Really appreciate anyone's help as I'm no software expert, just an OK engineer.

Not sure if this is what you want but there is a solids layout template with borders and title block on mastercam.

Create exactly what you want as a separate mcx file. Then, when you want your legend, merge it in and scale to fit your project.

If you're using the solid layout utility you could save the drawing sheet as a template and bring it in that way as well.

All sounds good but to be a P.I.t.A., HOW? Create it in word? Create it where? I'm Making Lathe Operational Drawings. I.E. OP20 Turn OD and Face, OP30 Turn ID and Face. in Master Cam X7. And what is a Solid Layout Utility? Ill look it up in Google, But teach me....

P.S. My Boss cant afford to buy stuff right now. LIke Software. LOL Started his business from the ground up and he needs this Cert to stay afloat.

No need to Google search it, go to to the help dropdown, select contents to open the Help Guide and do a search for Solid drawing layout.

Solidworks has a fancier editable way (for lack of better terms) of making blueprint layouts, just how to take a mcx File and merge it to the solidworks
