They are real and VERY accurate at ultra speeds.

 

They are what we call ultra-high-speed machines, specially in multiaxis.

It's 25 thousand mm/min, or 984 inches per minute. Them fancy metric folks like to use decimal places instead of commas.

+1000000. I had one at a previous job. Program at 1200 ipm all day long and it would do it. Laser tool measurement and part inspection that would rerun program sections if part or tool was out of tolerance with a sister tool. Robot loaded with a pallet rack. You could program a week worth of dies and it would Paige you if something went wrong. All G1's though. Not fond of arcs..
