Another new toy

Recommended Posts

ooooooo you get all the cool toys! super jelly!

what kind of heads did you get with it?

a heavy duty 5X, a heavy duty right angle and a 3X head.

I'm trying to talk them onto a high speed electric 5X head, but it's $250k

and we're already over budget.

Nice Hardware G you guys must be doing pretty well with all the new hardware purchases. Cool Stuff!

I think we're done buying new toys for now.

They're putting a 3.5meter VTL together in the back building next week

and a huge TOS hbm is due this summer.

The Okuma 5X vtl is on the road and will be here next week.

CNC Apps Guy will be here next week to train us on our new Toyoda bridge mill

and the new OKK 3X vmc is up and running.

We're still looking for a top gun programmer.

You get all the fun toys to play with. I would love to work on some large machines like that, if I could move to cali I would throw my hat in the ring.

The thing I like about this machine is that the X axis ways and scales are up in the air

safe from contamination by chips and coolant.

Our existing machine is a traveling column (Jomach) and the X axis scales are constantly

getting contaminated with chips.
