Mitsubishi Wire EDM .tech files

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Is it possible to edit or add to the .tech files? The only options that come up from the drop down menus are for .010" wire and Steel. The settings that are output are not the same as what our manuals recommend. I need to be able to output the appropriate settings for cutting steel, aluminum and copper. I can open the .tech file with a text editor and start editing but wanted to know if there was a better way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, they are edit-able with a standard text editor, but manually adding aluminum and copper would be a task.

Exactly which Mits EDM do you have? <= useful information

Do you have the Mits supplied PDF of the Machining Condition Data for your machine? <= critical information

If you could send me that PDF and your customer information...

I could take a look at it and see how we could proceed in getting you a "good" .TECH library.

Did anything come from this. I am wondering about a tech file for a Mitsubishi MD+ Pro 2 with a V350 2 controller.
