How to Duplicate MasterCam X7 Configuration on Two Computers

Hi,

I want to have exactly the same configuration settings for MasterCam X7 MU2 on two separate computers that I use. One is a desktop and one is a laptop. I want to have the same tool libraries, toolbar, operation defaults etc to be duplicated. Which files do I have to copy from the already configured PC to the other to do this. Has anyone done this with success?

Config folder from user folder. Cnc machines and mill folder from shared folder should get you what your after.

Hi John,

• Install X7mu2
  
• Instal addons, (SetupX+, ArcMultiedit, and what ever)
  
• Copy the full 'my mcamX7' and 'shared mcamX7' folders
  
• Copy custom files that are not in the above folders ( i have some custom fonts, and my tools are stored somewhere else )
  
• After startup right click in the workarea and set the 'autocursor settings' (those settings are not in the cfg-file)
  
• In the operation manager click the options button and set your 'background color', 'line color' and 'font'
  
• Select 'machinetype', 'mill, lathe,or wire' and managelist
