if you're working with the generic Haas post that installs with Mcam you can set that with misc values,..

misc integer 6 activates the shift,..

# mi6 - Add work shift position for rotation center programming

# 0 = Output relative to work origin (toolplane)

# 1 = Output relative to WCS origin (axis shifts)

misc real 7,8 or 9 sets the shift value, run a test piece to confirm the values then you could set them as defaults in the post text at the end of the post file

# mr7 - Axis shift for X axis, See 'shft_misc_r'

#

# mr8 - Axis shift for Y axis, See 'shft_misc_r'

#

# mr9 - Axis shift for Z axis, See 'shft_misc_r'

you'll also need to activate shft_misc_r in the variables,...

Colin at e-apprentice would be a good resource for doing this,..

Thanks - I'll give it a shot. How do I "activate" shft_misc_r in the variables?

Go into the operation and look for the misc button depending on the operation can be in a few different places. Put a value in the box and you are now using them. Put no value in the box like you have been doing and you are not using them.

You'll need to open the post in an editor Mcam or Cimco (Do Not Open in MsWord!) , do a search for "shift_misc_r" then reset the initialization.

In it's standard configuration it's set to 0 that is off, to activate it set it to 1.

shft_misc_r : 0 #Read the axis shifts from the misc. reals <<<< set the initialization value to 1 to activate
