QUINTAX ROUTER W/ xxxxOR CONTROL

I'm curious as to who has ever heard of this type of machine with this control.  I've got a call in to my local Mastercam reseller to see if they have a post available for this.  The machine is a 5-axis router but we only need a 3-axis post.

Why would you buy a 5axis machine and only get a 3axis post? I figure the minimum that you would want to post out 3+2 programs.

We use Pro-E to program it currently and that has a 5 axis post.  We've had the machine for 12 years but primarily use it for 3 axis work.  We've never programmed it using Mastercam so my boss was wondering what kind of post our local reseller had for this thing.  If all they offer is 3+2 or 5 axis posts than that is what we will go with.  I've never programmed 5 axis so getting a post that supports it would be cool.  Something new for me to learn.

I guess I'm no allowed to write the name of the control it uses.  It you replace the R in Ragor with an F, that is the name of the control

Talk to NilsN. He has a Quintax Router that is about 12 years old, and uses a F@gor controller. 

 

I learned on that machine, however I didn't mess with the post much.

 

We exclusively used MasterCAM On it. And I know he runs that machine now.

Thank You.  My Local MX reseller is sending me a generic F@gor 3-axis post.  The boss doesn't want to pay for a 3+2 or 5-axis post at this time:(  Which means he isn't going to ever pay for a 3+2 or 5-axis post.
