Hi all,

 

X+ for X9 PC1 is ready.

 

Download

 

- Support for new Tools (Barrel tool, Threading tool)

- 'Stock' as parameter is available

 

Attention:

It uses the same configuration files & folders like in X8.

So make a copy of your configurations before installing it or they may be overwritten.

"C:\Users\Public\Documents\X+\*.*"

 

Please let me know if anything is not working.

Does your MC file contain any toolpaths? I seem to recall that nothing would happen if you clicked the icon when your file didn't contain any paths.

The install went well and it works fine.  I really miss the X= sheets when the new xcam versions come out but you always manage to get it going and i am sure that all who use this product appreciate the work that you do .

I guess the problem comes from the newer EXCEL version. My scripts inside the XLT-Templates are old and maybe not 100% compatible with newer versions. Maybe you have to tweak it.

 

You can verify your screenshots here "C:\Users\Public\Documents\X+\reports\png".  The screenshots are in this folder. Look if the size is correctly.

You could also check the properties of your screenshot in EXCEL (right click->image properties). Maybe something is not set correctly for the newer EXCEL version.

I noticed on all the workstations WITHOUT Microsoft Excel, generate the setup sheet fine EXCEPT for the screenshot.  The screenshot is not reduced in size and therefore displays a zoomed depiction of the part.  On all our workstations WITH Microsoft Excel, the setup sheet works perfectly fine.  I checked the .png files and they match the setup sheet.

X8 set up sheets work fine...

 

...but in X9, I use the set up sheet in HTML and when I execute the program it asks which program I want to use to open... I choose Internet Explorer and I get this:

I downloaded and installed X+ from the link above twice and can not get it to work. I am able to create the toolbar, but when I click on any of the icons nothing happens. Do I have to modify the X+.ft file with the proper path to the Public folder? Please help. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. Thanks.

Yes it does. I'm doing the normal process of creating a tool list. My current approach is to create a view sheet with all the data needed for the operation, highlight the tool group with coresponding operations and click the icon to create tool list. But nothing happens. I have a brand new system with no previous installs. I am lost on what to do. I even modified the X+.ft file to include the path to locate the file for the chooks like we had to in previous versions of  X+. Still not working.

I see. I thought maybe you were a new user to X+ so you just installed it, launched MC and clicked the icon to see what it does. I see that's not the case.

 

Sorry I can't be of any more help. Still running X8 here.

No problem. I appreciate anything I can get. I'm just frustrated because of my lack of knowlegde on this issue, so I'm stuck. I have a contigency plan for making setup sheets for the shop in the mean time. I just love the simplicity of X+ when it works. I will survive. :smiling:

But if a solution is available that would be even better.
