Viper VTL C Axis Orient

        Would anyone know if on a Viper VTL with live Tooling and Fanuc Oi TD control, can and how would you orientate a C axis @ a certain position.

We have flange with existing holes, need to set C axis to one of the holes and mill a slot with reference to this hole?

In the program, position the C-Axis where you want it to be.

Then use a G50 C?.??? on the next line to set the C Axis position to what you want it to be.

You don't to reset it at the end of the program.

 

However, I would just so it's clear that you made a change.

All you really need to do is a reference return G00 G28 H0.0

 

C is the absolute address for the C-Axis.

H is the incremental address for the C-Axis.
