Ok, so a fellow colleague accidentally lost his Auto Cursor tool ribbon. Where is it?  I was able to break this as well, Drag to graphics area, Right click , Hide.     ---- boom gone forever.   How to bring back without a registry wipe and reinstall. <-- seems drastic IMHO     Mastercam FIX this.!?

Speaking of auto cursor, can some one explain temporary midpoints?

I can't get it to work. For now I'm still espriting it, drawing a line and making a point on the midpoint then delete the line.

How do I make use temp midpoints?

As long as you're on X9, it should be on autmatically. The feature didn't exist before X9.

If it isn't on for some reason, do this:

Click on a create geometry function, like circle or line. You don't have to actually create anything, you just need to get the autocursor ribbon active

Click on the little gear symbol next to the autocursor ribbon

Make sure the "temporary midpoints" box is checked in the options

Not sure if this would work, but can he just reload the toolbar state?

The reset back to default states would work if you are running McamX8 or X9 because of being tied to Workspace

In McamX7 if you haven't changed one of the existing default toolbars you could reload that

In tbar states create the new tbar name and save

Then select what icons you want active, save the file and select the default box in the lower left

You lost the auto cursor tbar,...

Does it reappear when you restore down the program?

If that's the case then,.. Yes, you need to delete the registry keys for McamX7.

No need to reinstall.

I actually "jacked up" my install of McamX7 to mimic what you describing OP.

If you wanting to continue using McamX7 then a reinstall would probably be the best.

I killed off the regkeys, now the install is pizzy about something else.

You all have McamX9 why not get everybody up and running on the latest version?
