Laser Marking Machine

What's good on the market for marking parts from 6 x 6 x 4 down to 1/4" end mills? Looking for budget friendly unit mostly for marking our in house tool holding, carbide tooling, vises, jaws etc.

We are a distributor for Trumpf laser markers. The Trumark 1110 is our entry level model. It can mark parts the size you are looking for. They have pretty broad marking capabilities, however it does not do well marking most plastics.

Anyone have experience with Epilog.

We have had an Epilog for 5 or so years. Easy to use, maintenance has been minimal. One thing besides marking that we use it for is making custom gaskets. and making wood puzzles. Fun to play with....

What Epilog unit do you have? Is it a pain to put marking solution on raw metals in order to mark them?

Mostly our part timers do the marking, tho none of them complain much about painting the solution on parts before marking....or wiping the stuff off. Pretty painless procedure. Marking anodized parts...looks way cool and no need to paint the solution on.

We have a similar machine I believe it is close to 20yrs old and still does what it is supposed to do with little to no issues .  I know it was just serviced as we looked at replacing it and there is not a lot of change to the design so we did some refurbishing and will continue using it for marking anodized parts and cutting small items .
