Lathe X9 part disappearing in verify after cut off

I know there has to be some setting in verify to keep the part after I part it off. I am missing it somewhere....

I am thinking it might be my graphics card, considering it is an on board video card. But, I haven't noticed any other problems with it thus far and I have been using this small laptop in the field for about a month.

Ive actually had the "disapearing part" problem before, once I fixed it by turning off remove chip, the other time it was a simple part and the boss was in a hurry so I never figured out what it was.  Perhaps it has to do with tool retrack?  Is it a 2 axis part, or are we talking Y axis?

If I select keep both pieces the tool path won't refresh. It just stays "X" out with no errors. What would cause this? The other two options work fine.
