anyone know how to fix this??

Here is what I would try:

  1. Save the File, then run "RAM Saver". (Settings > RAM Saver). This "rebuilds" the Mastercam Database, and can fix some internal glitches that aren't readily apparent.
  2. Select all of your Tool Paths, Right-Click > Change NC Filename. (This will ensure that the "NCI" name isn't "blank".)
  3. Select all of your Tool Paths, Right-Click > Change Program Number. (Make sure it isn't "empty". Even Program "0" is OK, but I'd try "1" or "100", just to be safe.)

I know this is old but it happened to me today on a new install of MC 2017.  I tried all of the above, but no luck.

The place I'm at now has these computers on lock down (almost un-useable) so I have no admin rights.  It's even a act of congress to upgrade to a MU1 or 2.

This system is on a net hasp and all install locations were directed to original locations.

This error will not let you post process at all.

What you guys think?  I can call my reseller first thing, but this is always my go to.

I don't think you have to have "full admin" rights, but the IT department must set the Permissions correctly for your account. This usually involves giving your User Profile "Full Control" over the Shared Mastercam Folder, the "My Mcam" folder (under "My Documents"), and sometimes also the "Mastercam Install Folder".

I think I've seen it as well. It might have had something to do with a custom tool definition ... if I remember right

Well I was using a bone stock tool database, just a basic flat endmill.

Waiting on the IT guy to get here this morning.

That works!
