On the mIll side it used to be;

  • Mill Entry (Contour Pocket and Drill)
  • Mill Level 1 (all the above plus Wireframe Toolpaths, Rotary substitution, and the High Speed 2D Toolpaths)
  • Mill Level 2 (all the above plus single surface machining)
  • Mill Level 3 (all the above plus multi-surface machining and high speed toolpaths)
  • Mill 5-Axis  (I belive all the above plus 4 and 5-Axis)

On the Lathe side it use to be;

  • Lathe Entry (turning paths only)
  • Lathe Level 1 (all the above plus C-Axis paths)

Then of course the add-ons.

THis is an old list it may or may not still be accurate.

James, That list is outdated. The levels now are basically Mill 2D, 3D, Curve/Drill 5 Axis, Multi axis. Not sure how the lathe is structured because I started with the mill side of things and added lathe.

Ben it is Mill Entry, Mill and Mill 3d there is no Mill 2d as that used to be level 1. now Mill is a equivalent to what was a Mill level 2 .
Lathe is Lathe Entry and Lathe.

What does it take to upgrade from Mill to Mill 3d?   Just a different dongle plugged in,  minus a big check?

One thing I know for sure..

Solids is no longer an upcharge, it is now standard .

I know this because I recently  opened a old V9 file containing a complex solid model

The file would open and the solid regened OK, but the Solids Manager was unavailable

because my full boat MC2017 net hasp does not contain a stand alone solids license

X8 was the last version that required a stand alone solids license, it's been built in since then
