What are your speeds & feeds on that gundrill?

 

That's likely your best option so dialing it in properly is important

 

What's your gundrilling rpocess?

 

Are you creating a c'bore for the drill to enter the hole spinning backwards and then turning it on and applying thru tool coolant?

 

Drill masters suggests for their tools that size

 

10k RPM and 1.75 IPM

 

If you only have 3k, you're looking at a feed .525IPM
