Hi everyone,

We have inherited a Okuma MC-4VAE with a OSP5020M control and are having problems with homing the machine at startup.

Is this necessary? And if so how is it accomplished? Also if any one can send me some sample code it would be appreciated, just so I can get the toolchange , safety , and retract code right.

Thanks

Frank

Tool change should be OK with only a TxxM06

you can set a XY position in the parameters to move the machine to a fixed position before change

Hello Frank,

We also just inherited a OKUMA MC-4VAE with a OSP5020M control. unfortunately our machinist has never used a OKUMA. So I'm trying to find someone who can walk us through the export process from Master Cam to our Okuma.

We are in Gardena California. but I was thinking of having some one help us over the phone and webcam as an option. Do you think that this is something that you can help me with.

Give Gosigenr a Call and anyone of the AE can help you. Sean Decker is the AE Manager for the West Coast and their office is about 15 miles from you.
