You also have a minor deviation from my example.  I do not us n$ any where in my post.  I never set n$=op-num, I use op-num to write the value.  n$ never gets a value at all and will not post.

Also, sorry I forgot, was posting from memory.  I also did similar to what Jeff mentioned but I put it every where I wanted the output like this:

Revisiting this thread, and hitting an old post from Ron here.  You can get the N output in the tool table like Ron has by adding a variable, assigning it in the ptooltable just before it gets written call.  Again, same as Ron, it only works for the first call of each tool but it doesn't go nasty and get off count when a tool gets used more than once.  You only get the N# of the first call.  This is also using the operation manager number for sequence numbers.
