2017 next tool

Hello - I have a mpmaster post for a HMC.  The next tool was working in X7.  After switching to 2017, I wasn't getting any output for the next tool.  I put an * in front of the variable, and then it would output, but with T0 all the time.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix that?

      pcan2           #Added so M and G codes in canned text will output before phsm2_on
      phsm2_on        #must remain after G43

I'd suggest you make sure the variable set for that variable is still being initialized properly

fmt  "T" 4  next_tool$  #Next tool used  

Other than that, MP sets the next tool, no fancy work necessary

Make sure your CMD and MMD are setup also.

It was the control def, had to check the box for "enable staged routines".  Thanks

This tells me that your Control Definition Defaults are not set. Look in the topic that is Stickied in the Industrial Forum for instructions on how to set the Defaults.
