RTM not an official release. Didn't see if the hole and thread milling depths issue and diameter issue got fixed in RTM. Anyone test that yet?

Diameter issue not fixed. It does look to me like it will make the holes to the smallest diameter selected though, so there's that.

Beginning with Mastercam 2018, all post text edits MUST be made with the Control Definition Manager. Do NOT edit the post text manually. For Mastercam 2018, only ANSI text is supported. The UTF-8 tag is still required in 2018 and should not be changed

i haven't downloaded this version yet but what does this mean? We are suppose to do edits inside the cd manager now?

So if you want to make edits to those fields as they show, you now need to do them via the Control Def and no longer the bottom of the post

Is this just for drill cycles? I don't see any difference in my 2018 control def.

It encompasses anything that was in the Control def section of the post file

Drill Cycles, Canned Text Headers, Misc and Real Values

You as the user should not notice anything different.....this is ONLY if you go in to edit something...it's no accomplished in the Control Def and no longer the .pst file

Ok gotcha.

So the basic editing of posts still exists, like the switches and stuff.

I won't mention the software that has a graphical post editor and it works well.
