2017-2018 Keyboard Shortcut Transition

Hello world,

I installed 2018 on Friday and am having a tough time figuring out how to move the "custom" keyboard shortcuts over. Is there a way or am I going to have to set it all up again on every release? I was under the impression that Mcam doesn't use the ".kmp" file anymore to move over, but i don't know for sure. Any thoughts?

If you look in...

 

C:\Users\"user name"\Documents\my mcam2018\CONFIG

You will find there IS a .kmp file there......

Copy it from 2017 to 2018

So i did see the file but bringing it over didn't do anything.  I looked in the "Options" page to see if i could go look for it but no luck. Any other thoughts?

I think shortcuts keys are into workspace file now. But I guess you already imported this file from 2017 to 2018?

I HAVE SAME PROBLEM DID LOT OF CUSTOMIZATION ON 2017 BUT MASTER CAM 2018 DID NOT IMPORT ALL THE SETTINGS & WORK SPACE. STILL LOOKING! WILL UPDATE IF FOUND ANYTHING.

PLEASE COPY UR MASTERCAM.WORKSPACE & MASTERCAM.KMP FILES FROM M2017 TO M2018 CONFIG FOLDER. IT WORKED FOR ME.

It's just the mastercam.workspace file. I had to manually copy it too. It seems that when you have mastercam running to do the settings migration it does migrate the old file to the new location, but doesn't load the settings because mastercam is already running. So then when you close mastercam it overwrites the .workspace with the current default setup. Would be nice if they forced a restart after migration without overwriting the .workspace.
