Swarf always wants to stay tangent to your Wall geometry. It will only use the floor as a "limit" so you don't gouge.

I'd recommend using Curve 5X, and choose "Surface" as your Tool Axis Control method. Then just pick your flat floor surface. (BTW, are you sure it is really flat? Use "Analyze - Dynamic" to see if there is any curvature to the surface.) Just make sure that if your flat floor surface doesn't extend "underneath" the curve you are driving, that you make a copy of the surface, un-trim the surface, and extend the surface so that it extends fully "underneath" the chain you are driving.
