How can I improve my Finish

How Can I Improve my surface Finish. I am Using surface finish  hi speed hybrid to finish this.  The finished part looks exactly like it does in verify so I am assuming its not the tool or the machine.  I am using a 1/2" ball endmill  . Can anything be done? Or what would be a better toolpath to finish the 3d part of this? Is it a filter setting? I have been having this problem on multiple parts.  Thanks in advance. I am tryin to cut down on or elimate any buffin/polishing down the line.  THanks in advance

You actually might gain from loosening those tolerances a bit....

You need to be tight with the filter but allow enough room for it to be able to generate arcs where it can...

Also, tighten the step over too.... 1/2" ball @ .014 is approx 56ra finish

I would turn off smooth settings

Run the total tolerance at .0003 to start with a 66.7 Line/Arc tolerance which leaves a 33.3% cut tolerance

what do you recomend for a stepover?  this place has always used a .0001 scallop height witch is .014. Surface finishes is just one of many things I am trying to improve around here. I will give the other settings a try.  Thanks

BTW, I ONLY use the smoothing IF a machine doesn't want arcs but prefers line segments while highspeed machining....

Its on a Haas VF5SS.  Maybe Ill try both and see if I can tell a difference.

the SS has a coarse ball screw and will overshoot when you have high feedrates.

we turned one in for a moldmaker for doing 3D cavity work
