Machine and Control Def.

Why is it every time I change a computer or try to pass some changes in my control def to another programmer I loose the custom drill cycles that I have setup? They never seem to come along with the switch. We have probe routines setup in the custom cycles and I always seem to have to re type them in.

The main issue is that when you add the Custom Drill Cycles, you need to do it "Through the Control Definition Manager", and make sure the Post file is closed. When you use the CDM, it will actually "edit" the post, and modify the Text Strings at the bottom of the post. I always recommend that you take a look inside the PST file, after you have modified the strings. Then I usually Copy those new Strings, and paste them into the "Default Settings" in the post. (Usually, the first collection of String values.)
