Ok, so I typically have a lot of solids and entities in my files.  I see this all the time and I can never find the changed color.
So here is what is going on, I get the above error message.  I select a color I never use or that I know is not in the file.
I then turn all levels on.  I try to use quick mask to select said color and it never finds anything.  So I have determined that this is bogus.
I have now a very simple file that I was just beginning.  Only with about 12 entities total.  I got the error, picked yellow,
turned both levels on and then nothing was yellow.  I get this no matter what my background color is.  I have used pink and brown for abou
a week to see and I still got this message.  So here is a video of it:

Yeah, other than hanging up my large files from loading it really just irritates me.  I have plenty of files that I consider large (100+ mb  up to 500mb) and it freezes loading until you click it.  I will often open a file and leave my office for a  shop errand and come back only to have to still wait on my file to load.  Really annoying.

Problem I think goes back to V7 maybe before days where if the geometry was the same color as the back ground and you couldn't see it. Now they will not allow it what so ever. I will sometimes create my own custom color close to the original and then sue it. That way it never interferes with any of the de3fautls, but been a while since I did that.

Just now, jlw™ said:

I would ignore it but it causes my files to not load.

Find a post from Thad....here has a link that goes to a utility that can click those boxes automagicially

Yes, I see this once in a while too.

I believe Mastercam creates those temporary entities in the background when generating toolpaths, but for some reason they sometimes hang around when they are supposed to be deleted after the toolpath has been generated.  Like gcode said, they are usually blanked as well so it's tough to find them.

I have just been changing the color to one I know I don't use, then I use Delete> All> That Color.

That has always worked for me in the past, although I don't think I have come across that problem with MC2018 yet.

I agree with all if the above but this file didn't even have a machine loaded.  it was literally 12 entities and one solid.  I see this a lot and totally random.  I have seen it, picked a color without saving and reopened with no message.  that's what gets me.  if they'd let my files keep loading I'd be a happy camper.
