Does anyone know if there is a parameter that controls the number of digits that can be used on the N address?

N12345 is ok @ 5 digits

N123456 is not OK at 6 digits

The only thing I could find in any of my manuals:

seq1.png

I only output N# at safe restarts.  It's about useless otherwise unless you are having problems.  On some of my machines with typically shorter programs I increment by 10 and on others I increment by 2.

Just curious, what issue are you having?

I am using sequence #'s to jump faces...

In this particular case......B0 & B90 are op1 of the same parts and B180 & B270 are the 2nd op of some parts.....because this part is going to run during the hour part chane over of another job they want the option to run either 1 or 2 sets of parts......well, that was easy enough

#900=1

#901=0

#902=1

#903=0

after the tool change

IF[#900=1]GOTO100101

IF[#900=0]GOTO300101

N100101

Run B0 Tool 1

After B0 retract before rotation

N300101

IF[#901=1]GOTO100102

IF[#901=0]GOTO300100

Before spindle off/retract

N300100

Toolchange

So I can set which faces run based on 900, 901, 902, 903........I use 4 digit N numbers to denote unique operations....I use 5 digit 40000 series for subs.....I was hoping, like I've done on other machines to use a different amount of digits numbering sequence
